So shocked and saddened to read about Cheryl's passing, When I think of her I remember our days in Shoe Cove when her family came to their summer home. We did cross paths a few times over the years when she was home on a visit and always had great chats. Sincere condolences to all her family. Thinking about you all as you mourn her loss. Rest In Peace Cheryl. 🙏🏼

I read this sad new today of the passing of our childhood friend. Cheryl was such a loving and kind person. I have very fond memories of Chery, Michelle and I playing together as young children. We all went to St. Joseph's School. God Bless you all and love to all her family. Helen Traverse Porter

So sorry to hear of Cheryls' passing. We all grew up together and went to St Joseph's School. Back in the old days we were all one little community and as we all got older, we followed our own paths and lost touch with each other. God Bless her family and friends. I feel so blessed to have called Cheryl my friend. She holds a cherished place in some of my happiest memories. Cheryl was my companion in our many french-student adventures in Quebec and St. Pierre - drinking wine, smoking Gauloises and toasting life. Occasionally, we even learned a little french. I will keep you in my heart always, Cheryl. A la prochaine, mon amie ! To all of Cheryl's friends and family, we are thinking of you and sending love. Pam and Sheridan McGrory

Cheryl and I became friends for life when we met in Grade 10 - way back in 1972, at Holy Heart of Mary Regional High School in St. John's, NL. My first impression of her was that she was very calm and gentle. I gave her the nickname "Cheryl Cool." Our journeys took us to British Columbia - Cheryl's to the mainland, and mine to Vancouver Island. While still living on the east coast, I visited Cheryl and her family in Surrey in 2001. She was a wonderful tour guide for my week long visit, taking me to many beautiful places. I am happy that the two of us managed to stay in touch all these years. I am grateful to have known her. I will miss you, Cheryl. Vivian Healey, Victoria, British Columbia

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I got to spend a week with Cheryl and Carol Anne also 6 years ago in Punta canta for my brother's wedding. I got to know her and enjoyed spending time with both of them. Cheryl was very quiet and a bit shy at first but came around. I have some very fond memories of that week which I will hold in my heart ❤ I am sending hugs to the family and her children....she will always be with us❤
