It is with deep sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Fred, our beloved brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandpa. Fred was born January 9, 1934 in Ocean Falls BC and passed away peacefully in his home in Surrey on November 18, 2022. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his high school (Britannia) sweetheart and devoted wife of 65 years, Verna, their children Kalvin (Sandra), Robert, Susan (Patrick), Brian (Jennifer), and Nancy (Allan). Grandchildren Andrew (Elizabeth), Tyson, Tara (Jordan), Darwin, Mattias, Joel, Evan, Nathaniel, Benjamin and great-granddaughter Robin. He is survived by his youngest sister, Lorraine Milani and pre-deceased by sisters Mary Dobrowolski, Irma Paiero and Vera Barichello. Fred attended UBC where he received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree. The proud owner of Fred’s Pharmacy Ltd, he was a pillar of the Commercial Drive community for over 40 years. A quiet man who loved his family, his cottage on the lake in Summerland, singing in the parish choir and watching sports. A private gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to a charity of your choice. Fred will never be forgotten. We will carry him with us in our hearts and in our happy memories.
