Obituaries

Lachhmi Devi Sharma passed away on November 2, 2020 in Abbotsford at the age of 80. Predeceased by her husband, Surjit Singh Sharma and her parents, Inderam Singh and Nand Kaur. She will be greatly remembered by her beloved son and daughters, her sons-in-laws, 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her 7 siblings. Lachhmi came to Canada in 1991 with her four youngest children and husband with little to nothing. Her and Surjit came to a country where everything was foreign to them and they built a life for their family. Lachhmi was caring, loving and understanding as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and daughter to her beloved family and all of her friends. She raised her 7 children and several grandchildren with great value that will carry her legacy on. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew her.
