My memories of Joanie(Mrs.Macdonald to me)are all joyful. Having spent countless hours at her house watching her cook delicious breakfasts before school, listening to her chatter in the car on the way to school (along with her collection of 8 track cassettes) and loving how she always asked how I was and made me feel welcome. Although I didn't see her much as an adult, those childhood memories are powerful and enduring. I know she's tap dancing, and having fun with Bob in heaven. ๐Ÿ’• Hugs to her whole family.

We so enjoyed visiting with Joanie and Bob, and Leo Leydon, Bob's cousin, and Joan Leydon on our back deck in June 2014 in Saskatoon. Joanie was always ready with her camera! Our condolences from the Michael Leydon connection.

I used to work with Joanie in the microbiology department at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Joanie was a fun-loving person who always brightened up the day. She often shared her dance moves with us on our breaks, making the workday more cheerful. I also know she was very proud of her daughters. Marg Hangartner
